Abstract
PURPOSE:To expand frequency characteristics in the audio frequency range of a crystal piece itself down to a low band, by integrally coupling diaphragms with arms of the crystal piece through supports. CONSTITUTION:On both sides of cylindrical fitting base 1, circumference parts of circular diaphragms 2 and 3 are fixed by an adhesive, etc. to obtain a drum-shaped body. The node part of the vibration of tuning-fork type crystal piece 4 is fixed to the flank of fitting base 1 so that arms of vibration of crystal piece 4 will be in the center of diaphragms 2 and 3, and vibration arms 7 and 8 of crystal piece 4 and center parts 9 and 10 of diaphragms 2 and 3 are connected together through supports 5 and 6. Then, electrodes are formed on both flanks of crystal piece 4 and lead wires are connected to electrodes. Consequently, the resonance frequency of the whole unit is much lower than that of the crystal piece itself.
