Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the constitution and laying as well as to minimize the loss of the detection time by forming a loop only at one side of the leader cable, thus forming the peculiar point featuring a high sensitivity.
CONSTITUTION: Leader cable 1 is laid along the running course of the wheels and receives the application of the fixed low frequency induced current. Then cable 1 is extended to one side at the fixed position of the course to form virtually rectangular loop 4. In this case, the cable of loop 4 is wound in such way that wire 4a closer (inside) to cable 1 may feature the same phase as cable 1 and wire 4b remote from cable 1 may feature the oppsite phase to cable 1 respectively. Thus such loop 4 is defined as the peculiar point. As a result, the detection level is increased for the position of loop 4 by securing the same phase as cable 1 for wire 4a to accordingly enhance the S/N. Furthermore, the time lag can be minimized for detection owing to the same phase.
