Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a plate-type sample free from any distortion or unevenness by cutting the tubular sample in the vertical axis direction and pushing open the cut opening gradually via the wedge-shaped metal fittings to then open further with a pair of metal fittings containing the convex and concave surfaces. CONSTITUTION:Tubular smaple 3 is cut vertically via the wedge-shaped metal fittings, and then the tip of wedge-shaped metal fittings 2 is put into the cut opening 3. Then press ram 4 is lowered down to push open the cut opening part of sample 3 in the vertical axis direction. And then fittings 2 is exchanged with another one featuring a sharper angle theta in sequence to push open further opening part 3a of smaple 3. After this, sample 3 is put on metal fittings 5 featuring the concave surface, and metal fittings 6 of the convex surface is piled on the sample to force open the opening of sample 3 furthermore. Thus the sample is formed convex. And then sample 3 is set so that the sample's convex surface may oppose to fittings 5 to be then pressed by fittings 6, thus obtaining a plate-type sample free from any warp.
