Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to pile with hydraulic sources of small power only by selecting magnitude of power to be applied to each pile in such a way that each pile mounted on piston rod of a cylinder for generating vibration is driven either merely by its own vibratory piston or by adding another cylinder of which piston rod is arranged so as to apply its vibratory force to said its own piston.
CONSTITUTION: In cases where piles are driven into mile ground, when change-over valve 7 is open and change-over valve 8 is closed, steady hydraulic pressure of pressure source is applied from supply joint P to cylinder 1 for genating vibration so as to have piston rod 12 vibrated in vertical direction, so that pile A is through chuck 10 driven into ground E, while pressure oil discharged from cylinder 1 is stored in oil chamber 32 of accumulator 3. When pile A has encountered with firm foundation, if valve 7 is closed and valve 8 is opened, a lot of pressure oil flows out of accumulator 3 into additional cylinder 2 and its return oil flows into absorbing chamber 42 of discharge oil absorber 4 so as to have cylinder 2 operated such that hammering weight 23 connected to piston rod 22 of cylinder 2 is rapidly lowered down to top end of piston rod 12 of cylinder 1 to assist rod 12 for driving pile A into firm foundation.
