Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a tightening force between the round tire and the rim sufficient to withstand heavy load and high-speed four-wheel vehicles by integral imbedding of bead wire at the end rim of the externally coated rubber on the tire cord.
CONSTITUTION: The bead section 2 of an externally coated rubber on a round tire is shaped in the form and dimensions enough to match the bead seat 4 of the rim 3, while a void and an inserting groove 6 are provided roughly at the thickness- wise center of the bead section 2. On the other hand, a tire cord is extended across bead sections in such a manner as to expand toward rim 3 from its position on the inner surface of the bead 2. An internally coated rubber 11 is arranged along the cord while a proper space is provided between bent sections 9 continuting to a drop center 8 from the bead seats on both sides of the internally coated rubber. A bead wire is inserted through the inserting groove 6 and glued securely in the void 5.
