Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure the accurate and optional setting of the temperature by using the heat-sensitive thyristor as the temperature switch.
CONSTITUTION: When the temperature of heat-sensitive thyristor 8 is lower than the switch temperature, thyristor 8 is off. Thus an extremely small amount of off- current flows to the contact of lead relay 2, coil 6 and lamp 7, and the contact of relay 2 never open. When thyristor 8 is heated up to the switch temperature, it conducts. As a result, a large amount of current flows to coil 6 and lamp 7, and thus lamp 7 glows. With this current, the magnetic field opposite to coil 4 is generated to coil 6, and as a result the contact of relay 2 opens to turn off lamp 7. After this, only the magnetic field of coil 4 exists to close the contact again. Accordingly, relay 2 has the ON/OFF oscillation periodically as long as the temperature of thyristor 8 is higher than the switch temperature, and as a result lamp 7 continues flashing.
