Abstract
PURPOSE:To mix effectively liquefied gas, which is evaporated, with superheated gas by introducing superheated gas into the lower part of a vessel in which sectional area becomes small downward from the middle part to wards the lower part, and atomizing liquefied gas from a plurality of atomizing ports countercurrently at a predetermined angle while controlling the required amount of the liquefied gas. CONSTITUTION:The sectional area of a mixing evaporator 1 becomes small downward from the middle part toward the lower part, and the blowing speed of superheated gas from the lower part becomes faster in the lower part so that the dropping of the liquefied gas is prevented. Liquefied gas is passed through seven to nine atomizing port change-over valves 9 (each of them has a different capacity) and atomized at an angle of 0-90 degrees to a perpendicular line, and passed through packed material 11 to evaporate completely. The atomizing ports are selected in such a manner that pressure difference is brough in the proper range by a pressure difference measuring instrument 10. The quantity of heat of evaporated mixed gas is measured by a device 6 and the ratio of flow rate of the liquefied gas to the supperheated gas is cntrolled through a controlling part 7 and a valve 8. Superheating boiler and heat exchanger which are used in the prior art process, are not necessary. The liquefied gas is evaporated and mixed with the superheated gas. The apparatus is suited for mixing liquefied petroleum gas with superheated gas.
