Abstract

PURPOSE: The title anti-fogging agent applicable to the surfaces of synthetic resins and glass uniformly, without causing cissing, and giving the anti-fog properties for a long time, comprising colloidal silica, and a nonionic and/or anionic surfactant.
CONSTITUTION: An anti-fogging agent comprising 0.1W50wt% of the total ingredients of (A) 75W90 parts by wt. of colloidal silica having a dispersed particle diameter ≤100mμ and (B) 25W10 parts by wt. of a nonionic surfactant of the ether type having an HLB of 5W15, or of the fluorine type having a surface tension of the 0.01% aqueous solution ≤60 dyne/cm, and/or an anionic surfactant, e.g. sulfate or silicone type, in an aqueous liquid.
