Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the subject deivce wherein means for making luminance adjustment ineffective is incorporated in luminance adjusting means in a photodiode driving device thereby to prevent erroneous action of photodiode at the time of opening an electric source. CONSTITUTION:Transistors TR3 and TR4 incorporating therein passive elements 7 and 8 are mean for auxiliarily controlling the base voltage of a transistor TR2 to control the luminance in the lighting of a photodiode 1. A suitable resistor R is connected between the collector and base of a transistor TR4 cause a base current to flow to the transistor TR4 and make the same conductive. A capacitor CR is connected between a DC source voltage Vc and transistor TR4, and when a source switch 4 is opened, the transistor TR4 is applied with a base voltage in an extremely rapid period of time because of a charge accumulated in the capacitor C2, and becomes conductive, whereupon the luminance control becomes ineffective and the transistor TR2 becomes immediately non-conductive. For this reason, the diode 1 is forcibly set in non-lighted state, and no erroneous action is generated.
