Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable spherical aberrations to be changed through changing of an air spacing by the constitution comprising disposing the cemented face whose concave face is faced toward an iris on the object side than the iris and the air spacing sandwiched by the two faces of approximate radii of curvature whose concave face is faced to the iris, on the image side than the iris.
CONSTITUTION: The lens is constituted by the 1st lens group I of positive refracting power, the 2nd lens group II of negative and the 3rd lens group III of positive subsequently from the object side. An iris is provided between the lens groups II and III and a variable air spacing is constituted by the two faces whose concave face is faced toward the iris of the lens group III. With such constitution, these are so constituted as to satisfy condition formulas 1W5 where the radius of curvature is let r, refractive index n, axial distance d and the radius of the iris at the opening R, whereby when it is used as a general photographic lens its spherical aberrations may be made extremely small simply through changing of one air spacing or it is also usable as a soft focus lens by changing its spherical aberrations.
