Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable a stable processing, by rapidly regulating a discharge duration of an individual pulse according to the results obtained as a result of averaging processing gap condition being detected and the time length of a no-load voltage impressing time in each pulse. CONSTITUTION:Transistor groups 3A-3N are closed by means of signals from an amplifier 7, a voltage being impressed to a processing gap provided between a discharge processing electrode 1 and an object 2 to be processed. Discharge then starts in a certain time lag, a discharge-starting being detected by means of a no-load voltage impressing time measuring device 18 via a resistance 17. Thus, a no-load voltage impressing time, which has elapsed before discharge is generated, is determined. A discharge duration control device 20 regulates a discharge duration according to said measuring results and the output of a processing gap condition detecting device 19, said transistor groups being opened after a given time has elapsed. Said circuit-opening time, during which the transistor groups are left opened, is decided by means of a quiescent time measuring device 21.
