Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively utilize a core material and eliminate the decrease in the cross-sectional area of a core, by continuously punching out fan-shaped core segments so that the outer part of the fan-shaped segment is concentric with its inner part after a slot is punched.
CONSTITUTION: Fan-shaped core segments 2 are continuously punched out of a core material 1 so that the inner and outer parts of the fan-shaped segments alternately adjoin one another. Notches 6 are made in the outside edge of each outer part so that the inside edge of the inner part adjacent to the outer part is located in the outsisd edge of the outer part and coincides with the outside edge. The central portion 10 of the outer part is concentric with the inner part 7 of the adjacent core segment 2 after a slot is punched therein. As a result, the central portion 10 of the outer part projects outward. Thus, the core material 1 is effectively utilized and the cross-sectional area of a core, which would decrease due to the notches 6, is compensated.
