Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the subject machine wherein the inner end of each conveyor provided in each of reference conveyor of each of both holding conveyors is lowered than the outer end thereof, at the time of holding the glass plate by said conveyors, the center of the glass plate is bent, and the glass plate tightly contacts the outer end of the reference conveyor to carry out the chamfering with a high accuracy.
CONSTITUTION: Slide plate 16 are provided at the inner sides of conveyor belts 15 in reference conveyors 4 of both holding conveyors 2. The inner end 29 of the slide plate 16 is lowered than the outer end 28 thereof, whereby when both sides of the glass plate 3 are held by both holding conveyor devices 2 and 3, the glass plate 3 is bent at the center thereof, and tightly contacted with the outer ends of said reference conveyors 4 and supported thereby. Further, since the outer ends of the reference conveyors 4 extend up to the edge near-by part of the glass plate, even when a cutting and grinding load is applied to the glass plate 3 by a processing wheel 21, no vent is produced in the glass plate 3 and beveling of a high accuracy is obtained.
