Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve material utilization rate and also to minimize iron loss, by winding a low-grade directional silicon steel sheet on center section in layer-piling direction and also winding a high-grade directional silicon steel sheet on inner and outer circumferential sections.
CONSTITUTION: A coiled steel core 1 is divided into 3 sections in layer-piling direction, a relatively low-grade directional silicon steel sheet is used in a center section 5 and a relatively high-grade directional silicon steel sheet is used on the both sides 4 and 6 of the center section so that the ratio of the latter to an entire body becomes 5W30% in weight percentage. By doing this, magnetic flux density distribution in the layer-piling direction of the coiled steel core 1 can be equalized, the iron core's characteristics can be remarkably improved simply by adding a small amount of a high-grade directional silicon steel sheet to a low-grade directional silicon steel sheet, and therefore, reduction of iron loss can be achieved economically.
