Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the construction and to secure the operation of a decompression device by transmitting the oscillation of a decompression arm caused by a decompression cam to the rocker arms of a suction and an exhaust valves to operate the suction and exhaust valves.
CONSTITUTION: An oscillation shaft 36 is disposed above an exhaust rocker arm 33 in parallel to a rocker shaft 31. A decompression arm 39 is fixed to the oscillation shaft 36. The decompression arm 39 is oscillated when the tip of the decompression arm 39 is engaged with a decompression cam 29 provided on a cam shaft 26 so that the shaft 36 is oscillated. At the tip of the shaft 36 is formed a projection 40 with a pushing member 41 fixed by a nut 42. A step plate 43 is provided on the exhaust rocker arm 33 opposite the pushing member 41. An operating arm 44 connected with an operating wire 47 is fixed to the shaft 36.
