Abstract

PURPOSE: To reproduce a stable field index signal from an output terminal of FF by making a decision on a field in accordance with "1" and "0" of pulse train at the leading edge of a vertical synchronizing signal.
CONSTITUTION: A composite synchronizing signal separated from a video signal by synchronous separator 51 is applied to a J terminal of JKFF54 as a spulse train of a horizontal synchronizing signal converted at constant intervals by two monostable multivibrators 52 and 53 to a duty ratio of pulse width of 50%. The horizontal synchronizing signal applied to this J terminal is applied to a K terminal of FF54 after phase inversion 55, so that a vertical synchronizing signal will be supplied to a clock terminal of FF54. As decision on a field is made in accordance with "1" and "0" of the pulse train at the leading edge of the vertical synchronizing signal, so that a stable field index signal can be reproduced from an output terminal of FF54.
