Abstract

PURPOSE:To make use of a transmission band effectively by dispersing energy of the spectrum of a PCM signal by providing one delay circuit to a prior stage and a delay block including several delay circuits to a post stage. CONSTITUTION:Modulation side 1 and demodulation side 2 are provided with one delay circuits 10 and 20, and one delay block including several delay circuits 11<a-n> and 21<a-n> respectively; output signals from delay circuits 10 and 20 at the prior stage are logically added 12 and 23 to output signals from delay blocks 11<a-n> and 21<a-n> at the post stage. Further, a signal added 12 and an input signal to the prior stage are logically added 13. Consequently, energy of a spectrum is dispersed into a transmission band to lower the peak level of the energy, thereby making effective use of the transmission band.
