Abstract

PURPOSE: To readily obtain the device which surely pulls off the developer from the sleeve surface by partially covering the surface of a developer supporting means with the material of better lubricity than this.
CONSTITUTION: There are multiple V-form grooves 16 in the axial direction on the surface of a sleeve 15 being a developer supporting means and the developer on the sleeve is prevented from slipping on the sleeve surface by these grooves. Hence, if suitable lubricity is provided to the sleeve surface other than the grooves of V- form by coating lubricant 17 thereto, then the developer will not slip on the sleeve and it becomes possible to readily drop the developer from the sleeve without increasing the contact resistance of the sleeve surface and developer.
