Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible that exposure errors which are caused when luminance of a subject is low, can be dissolved and accuracy of exposure control can be improved in a wide range from high luminance to low luminance, by reducing the quantity of light projected to the photo detector from the auxiliary diaphragm after the shutter is fully opened.
CONSTITUTION: When the luminance of subject is relatively high, the received amount of light at auxiliary diaphragm light receiving device 23 reaches a required amount before the shutter is fully opened, the current to coil 5 is reversed by the shutter control citcuit, bobbin 4 is suddenly lowered, and the shutter is closed. When the luminance of subject is low, one end of L-shaped lever 11 contacts with switch 16 when the shutter is fully opened, and switch 16 is turned on. Then electromagnet 24 is turned on and filter 26 is inserted on the optical axis to auxiliary diaphragm photo detector 23. Since this time, shutter apertures 19 and 20 and auxiliary diaphragm apertures 21 and 22 are all in a fully opened condition, and, when received amount of light at photo detector 23 reaches a required amount, the shutter is closed. Thus exposure control can be made accurately.
