Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure output vehicle speed signal even when the ground vehicle speed radar mounted on an automobile or other receives noise interference and perform safe operation control by detecting the noise with BPFs which do not mutually overlap thereby cutting off the ground vehicle speed signal. CONSTITUTION:Microwaves are radiated from an antenna 11 to a road surface 12 at an angle theta. The reflected waves which have been subjected to Doppler shift are received and a Doppler signal 16 is obtained from a mixer 14. The signal 16 is branched, is waveform shaped 17, and is convereted 18 to an analog signal, by which the ground vehicle speed signal Vv is obtained. In addition, the signal 16 is inputted to a malfunction preventing circuit 20 and is detected 23, 24 through the BPFs 21, 22 which do not mutually overlap. When the radar receives external noise, outputs are simultaneously generated in the BPFs 21, 22 and a relay 26 is energized by the output of an AND circuit 25, by which a switch SW is opened and the ground vehicle speed signal output from terminal 19 becomes zero.
