Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the judge accuracy by detecting the contraction amount after the maximum thermal expansion amount of the material to be welded produced during the conducting.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of electrodes 3, 4 are pressure-welded to the outer surfaces of the first and the second materials 1, 2 to be welded inner surfaces of which are joined and conducted. When the internal point P is resistance welded, the maximum thermal expansion produced in the first and the second materials 1, 2 to be welded during the conducting the electrodes 3, 4 as well as the contraction produced in the first and the second materials to be welded 1, 2 are detected and determined and the condition of the welded portion is examined from the sum of both the amount. Thus, the welding phenomenon to the detection of the maximum thermal expansion during the conducting can be known together with the welding phenomenon of the contraction process during the conducting after the detection of the maximum expansion and the condition of the welded portion can be judged with accuracy.
