Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect definitely a stop signal for a magnetic recording and reproducing device by recording two stop signals of different frequencies.
CONSTITUTION: Signal 1 including signals S1 and S2 is supplied to AND1 and AND2, where signals S1 and S2 are detected to generate outputs 2 and 3. Then, monostable multivibrators MM1 and MM2 set to T1 and T2 of time a little bit longer than time widths of signals S1 and S2 generate outputs 4 and 5. Next, outputs 6 and 7 are obtained from AND3 and AND4 and output 8 is obtained from FF. Then, output 9 of monostable multivibrator MM3 and output 8 are AND-ed by AND5 to generate output 10, which is counted by counter CNT up to a constant value, thereby obtaining output 11.
