Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to select freely a screen angle by automatically correcting the trapezoidal distortion of a raster interlocking with the variation of the screen angle.
CONSTITUTION: The movable axis (terminal V2) of potentiometer 8 interlocks with the mechanical displacement of screen 5. When screen 5 turns from the standard position to position 5b, a voltage at terminal V2 resis and the emitter voltage of relative transistor 27 drops to decrease current Ic of control winding 25, and the inductance of saturable reactor 22 increases. As a result, a difference in current between sides (a) and (b) of the winding separated over and under horizontal polarizing coils 16 to 18 becomes large and can be controlled by increasing the value of the keystone correction, so that the distortion of a raster attending on the variation of the screen angle can be corrected through extremely-stable operation.
