CONSTITUTION:Long flat joints 15 and 15' with numerous through holes 16 are formed on both outside ends on lengthwise cut section 12 of a cylindrical body 11 while a split thermo-reducing tube 10 with a lenghty tung-shaped section is formed inside the section 12 employing a thermo-resilient material (for example, low density polyethylene). When using, the connected section of cables 30 and 30' which are connected at the connection section 31 covered with a protective member 32 is housed into the tube 10 through the cut section opened and then, a fixing device 20 is inserted into the through holes. After the joints are closed solidly, they are heated to reduce the tube. In this manner, the connected section of the cables are coated airtight.
