Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate any gap in a lead wire cover thereby to prevent water from stealing into a heat seal portion as a result of the breathing action of a lead wire by using as the lead wire a thermoplastic coated lead wire having a single core conductor.
CONSTITUTION: There is connected with a thermister 1 the conductor exposed portion 3' of a thermoplastic coated lead wire 2' having a single core conductor. The thermister 1, the exposed portion 3' and the wire 2' are partially coated with a film 11 of fluorine-contained resin having an excellent water repulsive property. Then, the termister 1 is inserted into a hard pipe 10 made of a transparent thermoplastic and then into a soft tube 4 made of a transparent thermoplastic resin together with the wire 2'. Then, the both end portions 5 and 5' of the tube 4 are welded. A pressure terminal 6 for connection with a power source is attached to the wire 2' and is coated with an insulating sleeve 7.
