Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve durability with no snapping in repetitive operation, by using compressed conductive rubber, which becomes conductive in a pressure application direction with a conduction part compressed, for a structure whose electric switch is operated externally by a push button. CONSTITUTION:Movement 7 is provided with output terminal 8, compressed conductive rubber 9 push button 11 for operation and function selection such as time corrections and mode switching, and button packing 11 for waterproofing. This button packing 11 is conductive. With button 10 depressed, compressed conductive rubber 9 strains and becomes conductive at a certain degree of stress and, in consequence, case 12 and the output terminal also conduct, causing the switch to operate. When application of force on push button 10 is stopped after the switch operation, the puch button returns to its original position by the restoring force of compressed conductive rubber 9. Here, no spring is used which may break in repetitive operation, so that its durability will improve.
