Abstract

PURPOSE:To lessen wearing and energy loss by using the system in which one scroll is pushed toward axial direction by an annular elastic substance so as to press it on the other scroll part and thus enclosing force is raised as discharge pressure increases. CONSTITUTION:Since the scroll part 25 is pushed toward the axial direction by the elasticity of the annular elastic substance 30 to press on the scroll part 24, an enclosing force is given to between the disk 251 of the scroll part 25 and the end of the swirled portion 242 of the scroll part 24 and also between the disk 241 of the scroll part 24 and end of the swirled portion 252 of the scroll part 25. The enclosing force is increased by acting the pressure of gas in the discharge chamber 31 in the axial direction on the scroll part 25; that is, as the discharge pressure increases, the enclosing force is strengthened. Thus, wearing and energy losses can be reduced by giving enclosing force more than may be necessary all the time.
