Abstract
PURPOSE: For effective deoxidation in a container for food or like, a fan is rotated with electric energy generated by a battery-type deoxidized member and thereby agitate stagnant air in the container to contact with gas-diffusion electrode of the battery.
CONSTITUTION: A battery-type deoxidized member 3 is provided in a container 1 in which food 2 is preserved, so that power can be generated by the action of the positive electrode 5 that consumes oxygen in the container 1. The generated power is used to drive a fan 4 to agitate air, moving oxygen-consumed air around the electrode 5 and effecting forced oxygen removal from air in the container 1. Thus, the effect is eliminating oxygen from the container and protecting food form decaying.
