Abstract

PURPOSE: To completely recover drained washing water and divert it to some other purpose, by using an ammonia-employing alkaline solution as the washing water, supplementing ammonia to the drained washing water to repeatedly use the water and using the finally-drained washing water as supplement water to desulfurization facilities.
CONSTITUTION: The washing water is sucked out of a tank 2 and supplied with the ammonia from an ammonia injector 3. The washing water is then injected into a heat exchanger 1 through an injection nozzle 5 to wash the heat exchanger. The washing water then enters into a drain pit 4. Stripped ammonia gas is sucked by a blower 6 so that the gas is supplied to ammonia-using facilities 7. The pH level of the drained washing water in the drain pit 4 is measured and adjusted to a prescribed value by a pH level adjuster 8 so that the washing water is circulated and used again. After the washing is finished, the washing water in the drain pit 4 is conducted as the supplement water to the desulfurization facilities 7a. The drained washing water is thus completely recovered and diverted to some other purpose.
