Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the title device in a data processing device, capable of improving operational efficiency and reducing the operation stop time, by providing two sets of paper feeding mechanisms and control units and feeding paper continuously.
CONSTITUTION: Paper feeding mechanisms 9, 10 and paper detectors 7, 6 are provided for papers 3, 4. Either one of papers 3, 4 is fed to the printing unit via common paper feeding mechanism 8. When either detector 6 or 7 detects that the paper has run out, the other detector 7 or 6 immediately checks whether or not reserve paper is available, and when paper is in place, paper feeding mechanism 9 or 10 is operated. Paper is fed to common paper feeding mechanism 8 so that the beginning part of new paper is connected to the end of the old paper. In this way, continuous printing can be done.
