Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent mixing of foul water to the floating gas drawn without mixing the foul water by tilting the side plates of the floating gas catcher along the flow direction of the surface flow of liquid.
CONSTITUTION: The floating gas catcher is floated on the foul water in an aerating vessel, etc. and floating gas is drawn. At this time, the side plates 3, 4 on the influent side and effluent side of this gas catcher are tilted from the coupling part with a ceiling board 5 toward the bottom end in the flow direction of surface flow 2. Then, the agitation of the surface flow by the side plates does not occur, hence the production of foams in the vessel 8 is less. In addition, a sampling port 13 is provided to the projecting portion of the influent side plate to the ceiling board 5, and therefore even if foams are produced, they flow out or dissipate in the surface flow 2 direction and do not reach the sampling port 13. Hence, the mixing of the foul water in the floating gas does not occur.
