Abstract
PURPOSE: To permit continuous running of cars when throttle valve is unoperable due to failure between the valve and an accelerator pedal, by raising line pressure.
CONSTITUTION: This throttle valve 139 is equipped with a plunger 3 which is linked to an accelerator pedal 44 via a wire 45, a lever 42 and a throttle plate 40. The plunger 3 is slidably inserted in a central hollow of a spool 2. If failure occurs in a link between the accelerator pedal 44 and the plunger 3, the plunger 3 is moved right by a spring 47 to its closing position, and the spool 2, kooked to insike end of larger diameter 3a, is moved at the same time. Thus, the spool 2 separates throttle pressure oil 165 from line pressure oil 144 and leads throttle pressure oil 165 to oil passage 8, and leads line pressure from oil passage 144 to a regulator valve via oil passage 11.
