Abstract

PURPOSE: To always obtain the regenerated signals with the correct phase by detecting the rotary phase of the rotary sheet, forming the control signals through division of the detection signals and then converting the 1st and 2nd regenerated signals into the prescribed modes via the control signals.
CONSTITUTION: The signals recorded on rotary sheet S are regenerated by heads 15a and 15b provided with the distance of about 180° away from each other. These regenerated signals are selected to obtain the 1st mode regenerated signal in the 1st half of one cycle of intermittence and the 2nd mode regenerated signal in the 2nd half respectively. Then the rotary phase of sheet S is detected, and this detection signal is divided 59 to produce the control signals corresponding to the 1st and 2nd halves of one cycle of intermittence. With these control signals the 1st and 2nd regenerated signals are each converted into the prescribed mode. Thus, the regenerated signals of the correct phases can be obtained at all times.
