Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable a releasing of a gate in a sensitive response to a upstream water level in an ordinary time and in the case of an extroadinary flooding, by locating large and samll openings at a cut part provided at a float chamber.
CONSTITUTION: A cut part 3 is located at a frame 2 having an opening 2a so that the cut part can freely move vertically by rotating a screw bar 4. The cut part 3 moves along a guide secured on the frame 2. The cut part 3 is provided with an opening 3a having a narrow width b, through which water is to be overflown at a upstream water level in an ordinary time, and an opening having a wide width B, through which water is to be overflown in the case of an extroadinary flooding. A gate can be opened and closed sensitively due to a narrow width b of the opening 3a against the micro flacturation of a upstream water level in an ordinary time as a result of providing a double cross-section at the opening of the cut part 3, and the gate can be released sensitively by the opening 3b also in response to the rapid flactuation in water level in the case of an extroadinary flooding. Overflowing from a upstream water passage wall can thus be protected.
