Abstract
PURPOSE: To smooth replacement of a cassette by shunting a paper feeding roller and a lifting member from the path through which to insert the cassette for a paper feeding device in the system of inserting the cassette reversely to the direction in which the paper is fed.
CONSTITUTION: An angle lever 19 coming in contact with the end of a cassette 1 upon insertion of the cessette 1 turns counterclockwise, an arm 12 turns cunterclockwise by way of a link 15, and a paper feeding roller 3 moves downwards. Further when a slide guide 20 moves rightwards in accordance with the movement of angle lever 19, a lifting lever 25 turns clockwise by an elasticity of spring 26, a lifting roller 23 pushes the base plate upwards to press paper 30 onto the paper feeding roller 3. In case the cassette is inserted reversely to the direction in which the paper is fed at the front of printer, the cassette can be replaced smoothly despite being covered.
