Abstract

PURPOSE: To apply appropriate control to the apparatus to be controlled from the small scale one to the large scale by installing plural units which have I/O adapters to receive/transmit serial data, connecting the adapters like a ring and assigning the individual address to each unit so that the transmitted, received and transferred data can be checked and the legality of units is confirmed in respect to the controlling device storing the computer in it.
CONSTITUTION: One control unit is constituted by connecting clock generating part 11, RAM 13, ROM 12, process I/O interface adapter (PIA) 14, and serial data I/O adapter 15 and I/O adapters 15, 25 and 35 are connected like a ring. In case of transferring data, the controlling device sends the address on the receiving side together with the data. When the data with the address of the device itself are received, the device checks whether the received data consist with the transferred data and confirms the legality of device.
