Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase information storage capacity and make read-out of information easy by arraying a multiplicity of small area holograms on a concentrical circle and mounting them on a support plate which is made revolvable and ratatable about the revolving axis and arraying such support plates in single or multiple plies.
CONSTITUTION: A supporting plate 1 is turned by a fulcrum shaft 1A. Hologram recording plates 10, 20... are discs of the same shape and ae provided with teeth intermeashed with a gear 50 at their peripheries. Small area holograms 10-i, 20-i... are arrayed on the circumference at the same pitch. The small area hologram to be reproduced is brought to the reporoducing position through revolution of the shaft 1A and revolution of the gear 50, where it is reporoduced. Since the radii of the hologram circles are common, reproducting conditions are the same with all the small area holograms, thus easy reproduction is obtainable. The support plate 1 may be of single-ply construction or of the construction comprising superposing these in multiple plies.
