Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve color reproducibility without using an expensive optical system hard to adjust, by reading color information by lighting several light sources with different wave length distributions in sequence at constant intervals of time. CONSTITUTION:Several light sources with different wavelength distributions, e.g., three primary color light sources 1, 2 and 3 of blue, red and green are sequentially lighted, one by one, for time of DELTAt, theregy illuminating part P of original 4. Then, images differing in color are formed on image sensor 6 by image-forming lens 5 to obtain a picture signal.
