Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the visible conversion efficiency, by providing pre-burnt fluorescent film on the inner face of bulb while irradiating the ultra-violet ray from the inside of bulb prior to the mounting of said bulb.
CONSTITUTION: Pre-burnt fluorescent powder is suspended in a solution where nitro-cellulose is added in butyl-acetate then it is coated on the inner face of bulb 1, and after drying it is burnt to decompose and disperse the nitro-cellulose thus to complete the fluorescent film 12. After evacuation of the bulb 1, the other conducting tube 4 is connected selectively to the oxygen supply source, inert gas supply source or reductive gas supply source, then the ultra-violet ray source 6 is lighted under any of said environment to project said ray onto the fluorescent film 12.
