Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the resolution of recording images and obviate the occurrence of fog by disposing the magnetic pole of a required shape having a specified magnetic pole in the position opposing to a magnetic layer at the time of perpendicularly magnetizing the magnetic layer and depositing magnetic toner.
CONSTITUTION: Image signals P cause the surface of a magnetic layer 2 to be magnetized to N pole by a needle-form head 1, thereby forming magnetic latent images. Next, recording paper 3 is contacted to the magnetic layer 2. Next, when the magnetic toner 5 held to the counter magnetic pole 4 of S pole is contacted to the recording paper 3, the toner 5 deposits on the magnetized portions.
