Abstract

PURPOSE:To correctly set a second handle to the present time, it is stopped at an integral number second position. CONSTITUTION:Output from oscillator 2 with crystal unit 1 is fed to the first frequency divider 3 to which the second frequency divider is connected. The first and second frequency dividers 3,4 are connected with AND gate 5 and wave reformer 6. The AND gate 5, for resetting both of the frequency dividers 3,4, is connected to switch 9 which external functions such as crown. The wave reformer 6 sets pulse width to drive step motor 8. The output from the first frequency divider 3 is fed to both the wave reformer 6 and the second frequency divider 4, where it is further divided and wave-reformed, and inputted to the AND gate 5. When a second hand is to be attached to stem, watch is preliminarily reset, and the second hand is correctly set to zero or integer second position. Then, if crown is pulled, as required by time correction, the switch 9 operates to move the second hand to the position of integral number seconds later, regardless of the second hand position. Thus, pressing the crown corresponding to time information immediately starts the second hand, providing correct time less than second.
