Abstract
PURPOSE:To decide the noise property of the picture element as well as to secure the accurate noise elimination of the picture by obtaining the resemblance among the picture elements based on the property value of each picture element obtained via the fixed unit vector. CONSTITUTION:The upper, left, right and lower positions of picture element P to be processed are defined as B, D, E and G each; and the upper left, upper right, lower left and lower right positions of P are A, C, F and H respectively. Picture elements A-C are scanned precedingly by one line to element P; elements D and E are scanned on the same line as element P; and elements F-H are scanned lately by one line to element P. And the property value of these picture elements are decided via unit vectors e1-e3. The property value of each picture element is obtained through circuit B1. Based on these value, the operation is given through circuit B2 to obtain the resemblance between each picture elements and the upper, lower, left and right picture elements. And based on this result, whether the picture element is the noise or not is decided by circuit B4.
