CONSTITUTION:In the spectrophotometer having counter 42 which counts pulses corresponding to wave length transmission and holds a digital quantity corresponding to the wave length, a wave length transmission mechanism is driven in one direction through pulse motor driving circuit 40 by turning on a power source switch, and the wave length driving direction is inverted when the wave length transmission mechanism reaches a reference position outside a measuring wave length range. The interval from this arrival at the reference position of the wave length transmission mechanism to the count start position of counter 42 is changed to adjust the relation between the actual wave length and the digital quantity corresponding to the wave length which is held in counter 42, and this adjustment is performed by adjusting variable resistor 64.
