Abstract

PURPOSE: To promptly and accurately accomplish the inspection of the winding of an armature by providing a commutator inserting cylinder formed with a commutator contact surface and by arranging a pair of commutator contact terminals on the contact surface.
CONSTITUTION: In case commutator contact terminals 20 and 23 made of a conductive material are biased toward the center 31 by the action of a spring 21 so that a commutator 40 is inserted, the contact with the respective commutators can be sufficiently held. When the commutator 40 of a motor to be measured is inserted into a cylinder 10, the contact terminals 20 and 23 are forced by the spring 21 into contact with a pair of different commutators, e.g., C1 and C6 so that the resistance between the commutators C1 and C6 can be measured. Then, the commutator 40 is turned so that its elements C2 and C7 are consecutively measured. By consecutively bringing the commutator elements into contact, the resistance between the commutators can be continuously and efficiently measured.
