Abstract

PURPOSE: To separate high purity tri(dichlorophosphonitrile) and tetra(dichlorophosphonitrile) in high yields by recrystallization-treating a mixt. of tri(dichlorophosphonitrile) and tetra(dichlorophosphonitrile), with a specified org. solvent, separated from a phosphazene oligomer.
CONSTITUTION: Oligo(dichlorophosphonitrile) synthesized is separated into an oily substance consisting of penta(dichlorophosphonitrile) and higher oligomers, and a crystal mixt. of tri(dichlorophosphonitrile) and tetra(dichlorophosphonitrile). By recrystallization-treating the crystal mixt. with one or two kinds of halogenated hydrocarbon solvents with a specific gravity of 1.2W3.0, the tri(dichlorophosphonitrile) and tetra(dichlorophosphonitrile) are separately deposited in two layers in the solvent owing to the difference in specific gravity. The purity of each of the recovered components reaches about 100%.
