Abstract

PURPOSE: To print in uniform density regardless of the number of dots, by attenuating the sine voltage to n(N-n)/N, when printing n pieces of dots by using N pieces of laser beams outputted through a crystal body which is excited by N sets of sine voltages differing in frequency.
CONSTITUTION: For instance, 7 pieces of sine wave oscillators 7a to 7g differing in frequency are connected to attenuators 9g to 9a of 0, 1/7, 2/7 ..., respectively. By applying printing signals to terminal 8g, when seven dots are selected and switches 6a to 6g are closed, a crystal body such as lead molybdata is excited by 7 sets of sine voltages, and dots are printed with laser beams 5a to 5h at 1/7 intensity of laser beam 2. When printing signals are applied to terminal 8b and switches 6a and 6g are closed to select two dots, the dots are printed with beams 5a, 5b at the intensity of (1-5/7)×1/2=1/7 of the beam 2 through attenuator 9b, so that the printing density may be constant regardless of the number of dots.
