Abstract

PURPOSE: To let the water flowing out from the frame enclosure be clean water hardly containing bentonite by building embankments having slopes through the use of crushed stone on the inside circumference of the frame enclosure with enclosed water permeable frame bodies thereby forming conical form reservoir.
CONSTITUTION: A frame plate 1 is constituted to water permeability by spreading perforated plate or the like on one side of a frame made of pipes. The frame plates 1 are joined to form a frame enclosure 6 and crushed stone is used on the inside circumference of the frame enclosure 6 to build embankments 8. The inside surfaces of the embankments 8 are properly sloped 9 to form a conical reservoir 10. When bentonite waste sludge 11 is supplied into the reservoir 10, part of bentonite sediments and at the time when it percolates in the embankments 8, the bentonite is captured by the crushed stone layer and the water hardly containing bentonite flows out from the frame enclosure 6. The bentonite particles are subsequently captured and accumulated in the reservoir 10. The captured bentonite is recovered and reused.
