Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a printing machine useful for producing an original drawing on transparent paper, by which an image pattern to be formed on a photosensitive drum (a photosensitive medium) can be reversed.
CONSTITUTION: In an image producing mechanism 2, laser beam issued from a laser beam source 4 passes through a beam modulator 5 to a rotational mirror 6 which projects the modulated laser beam received from the beam modulator 5 successively from the left side to the right side of the photosensitive drum 1. Image pattern information in an edit memory 7 is read out into a line buffer 8 one scanning line by one scanning line synchronously with the revolution of the rotational mirror 6. In general printing, a flip flop 10 is set, and in printing of an original drawing on transparent paper the flip frop 10 is reset and contents in the line buffer 8 are shifted in an A direction or B direction. Thus without changing the scanning direction of the optical system the scanning direction for the photosensitive drum 1 can be substantialy reversed.
