CONSTITUTION:On suitable parts of a sloped or stepped portion, such as a joined portion, etc. of a steel pipe, at least two projections 5, 6 of plastics or rubber are securely arranged. Then a heat-shrinkable tubing 4 having an adhesive layer on the inner surface thereof or a heat-shrinkable sheet having an adhesive layer on one surface thereof is covered on the member 2 having the sloped portion 7 or stepped portion in such a way that it covers the projections 5, 6, and thereafter it is heat- shrinked. EFFECT:The covering layer will not be slipped off the sloped or stepped portion even in a heat cicle, etc.
