Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A fluoroolefin compound I (n is 1W8; m is O or 1).
EXAMPLE: A compound II
USE: The compound has two double bonds having different reactivity and is useful as a crosslinking monomer for plastics, rubbers, etc. and as a curable component of thermosetting resins. The compound is also applicable to synthesis of a fluorovinyl group-containing silane by reacting the vinyl groups with a silane.
PREPARATION: A compound I is prepared by thermally decomposing an olefin compound III (X is fluorine or OM; M is alkali metal) at ≥ 160°C, preferably at 200W300°C (when COX is CO2M) or at≥250°C, preferably at 300W350°C (when COX is COF). An olefin compound III is prepared by the dehydrohalogenation of a halide IV (Y is halogen, etc.; Z is I or Br).
